Chattabrewchee is America's only active-duty female-veteran-owned brewery — Major Kathy Denehy opened the Columbus location specifically to stay connected to the Fort Benning community — and the ten-tap lineup includes the Nine Line Double IPA, with all proceeds from that pour going to a Georgia homeless veterans' shelter. The vibe is deliberately old-school: beer boards are handwritten, staff actually know the beers, and on weekends the food trucks rotate in the lot while a band sets up inside. Their Crow Hop IPA took second place for Georgia's best IPA, which regulars will mention unprompted.
