Blackhorse has anchored downtown Clarksville's Franklin Street since 1992, and the building is deeper than it looks — there's a main bar level, a separate upstairs taproom open until 3am with pool and shuffleboard, and a 21+ section. The beer cheese and garlic-butter-crust pizza are what Fort Campbell soldiers argue about on the drive in; one military reviewer called it "the only non-chain worth going to in Clarksville" and noted he'd never ordered anything off the menu he didn't like. Happy hour runs Sunday through Thursday 3–6pm, and the Saturday/Sunday brunch crowd comes for the Shrimp & Grits and Hangover Burger.
